Easy Microwaved Potato Chips

Easy Microwaved Potato Chips-Quick snack
Easy Microwaved Potato Chips

Quick and easy Microwaved Potato Chips
This is a very easy recipe to prepare Potato chips using Microwave; however it is not suitable for more servings. Because it will consume time as  we have to repeat the procedure in few batches. Also check this easy Microwave recipe for Pop corn.Another quick snack idea when you are in a lazy mood! :)
No much oil in this Microwaved Potato Chips

Ingredients (1 serving)
1 medium size potato
Pinch of chili powder
Pinch of salt
A drop of oil (optional)

Wash & peel the skin of potato.
Slice into thin slices.
Mix chili & salt with potato slices.
If you use oil, mix it with the potato slices.(optional)
Place them in a microwavable dish.

Microwave in ‘high’ for 2 minutes.
Then turn the slices to other side.
Microwave for another 1 minute in ‘high’.  (if chips are not done, change the timing accordingly, however this is the cooking time for me)
Repeat the same procedure if any potato slices are available.
Chips are ready to serve.

Note: Apply a drop of oil on the plate. It will avoid sticking some tiny chips on to plate.

Mini Heart Shaped Cakes

Mini Heart Shaped Cakes

I loved making these cakes. I selected heart shape as it is almost Valentines Day. The method was so simple.

Here is my recipe:

1 cake recipe (I used a simple butter cake)
Strawberry Jam
1 cup Buttercream icing

Special equipment

Small heart shaped cookie cutters

First pre heat the oven & make the cake according to the recipe. I prepared a butter cake & shared the recipe here.

After the cake is done, allow to cool it completely for about 20 minutes. Then wrap with a plastic wrap & freeze for about 1 hr. This will make it easier to cut the cake.

After 1 hr, take the cake out & remove the wrap.
Using a cookie cutter cut it into small heart shaped pieces. Take one piece & slice horizontally forming two layers. Then apply strawberry jam into one slice & top with other. Continue this with other mini cakes too.
(While cutting to heart shapes, some of the parts have to be discarded. I used those discarded parts in cake pops)

Now heart shaped cakes are ready & need to decorate.

I used buttercream icing for decorating them.Flowers are  Royal Icing Drop Flowers

Chocolate covered Strawberry bites

I found this recipe in a website & thought of trying it.It is absolutely very easy & quick bite.
Hope you will enjoy them too

Strawberries about 6-10 nos
Chocolate chips 5 tbs
Butter or vegetable shortening 1 tsp
Few tooth picks
Some fruitier chips or icing for decorating

Wash & clean the strawberries.
If you do not like leaves, you can remove it.
Then insert the tooth pick at the bottom of strawberries & keep aside

Now heat the chocolate chips together with butter/shortening in a double broiler or in a microwave oven.

When the chocolate is melt, dip the strawberries & cover well with chocolate.

Decorate as you wish.

In this one,I have removed the tooth pick & used a cupcake cover.
