Why I love my Food Blog and celebrating 2nd Blog Anniversary
Today my blog turns into 2 years old. Though it is still
2 years old, I feel like I am blogging from many years. This blog has become a
part of my life. Before 2 years ago, I just started this blog to share recipes
in details. At that time, I already had my facebook page and it was becoming
popular. But when I think of today, I spend more time on Food Corner blog than
Food Corner facebook page.

Vegetable Chop Suey (Chopsi from Sri Lanka)
Chop Suey is popular as a Chinese dish. However Chop Suey
(Chopsi) has become a popular dish among Sri Lankans. Most of the time, we are
able to buy this in Chinese restaurants in Sri Lanka. It is a collection of
different vegetables and a good recipe to empty the fridge in a weekend. Vegetable
Chop Suey well goes with a fried rice, deviled chicken and chili paste.

Cook like a Celebrity Chef - 5
Here we are in 5th round of ‘Cook like a Celebrity Chef’. I am really happy
to see that this event become popular and receiving more entries now.
Though we cook everyday & share them on our blogs or facebook pages,
there are some simple tricks that we can use to improve the quality of the
meals. Professional Chefs always use their own techniques to make their
customers happy, and keep them coming back. So, the basic idea behind this
event is to improve our culinary skills.

Tea with Fresh Milk
If Milk Powder is too expensive in Sri Lanka, use fresh
milk!
Oh! My today post started like a political talk, isn’t
it? :) No, I hate politics and I don’t want to talk about those politicians in my
recipe posts. But I do have my own ideas. This is a post I wanted to share from
some time. I remember once I received lot of forwarding emails from friends
about rising price of Milk Powder. In this week I am receiving a same email
from different friends about a Sri Lankan Milk powder brand and health risk of
it. So, finally I decided to share this post and this post is specially for Sri
Lankans. I am not sure how many Sri Lankans will read this, but I hope at least
one person will get the benefit.

Gotu Kola Sambola/Gotu Kola Salad
Gotu kola sambola/salad is a delicious and healthy dish from Sri Lanka. In Sri Lanka, we have a habit of adding at least one green for our meal. Most of the greens are eaten raw as sambola/salad. One of the popular green leaves among them is Gotu Kola.
